WiFi 6 and WiFi 7 are the latest versions of the WiFi standard, and they bring several improvements over the previous versions.
WiFi 6, also known as 802.11ax, is the successor to WiFi 5 (802.11ac). It offers faster speeds, greater capacity, and improved performance in crowded environments. One of the key features of WiFi 6 is its use of Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) technology, which allows for more efficient use of bandwidth by dividing the channel into smaller sub-channels. This means that more devices can connect to the network at the same time, and each device can receive more data.
WiFi 7, also known as 802.11be, is the next generation of WiFi standard after WiFi 6. WiFi 7 brings even faster speeds and better performance than WiFi 6. It is also more efficient in terms of power consumption. The main feature of WiFi 7 is its use of a higher frequency band, which is able to deliver more data faster. This technology is called “WiFi 7E” and it operates on the 6GHz band, which is less crowded than the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands used by previous WiFi standards.
WiFi 6 is the latest generation of WiFi standard which offers faster speeds, greater capacity, and improved performance in crowded environments. WiFi 7 is the next generation after WiFi 6, offering even faster speeds and better performance, with more efficient power consumption.

In Conclusion:
At AVN we are constantly reviewing new WiFi access points and routers. Weekly we have new hardware. We are a very busy shop!
WiFi 6e is amazing. It works great! Connection speeds at 2Gbps are easy and as you can see from that link its possible from actual screen shots. We are not only recoding the WAX630e Access Point, using them ourselves but also posting a lot about them because they are excellent!
The point of this is that when people say to way for WiFi 7. It just doesn’t make sense! WHAT FOR??!! You connection speed to the Internet is not going to be the speeds of WiFi 7, let alone they are not at WiFi 6e. I mean nobody is taking this under consideration. That’s a heck of a lot of future proofing! Don’t get me wrong. We will be using WiFi 7 and reviewing all of the Access Points as soon as its released, but going with something that is working now and it at an excellent price point. Common, not issue here!
